Faros de Esperanza is a 26-episode documentary series produced by Barranca Nature for CONANP (Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas), Mexico's federal agency for protected natural areas. Filmed between 2014 and 2022 across the country, each episode is a portrait of one of Mexico's Áreas Naturales Protegidas, from the volcanic islands of Revillagigedo to the wetlands of Centla and the deserts of Cuatro Ciénegas.
The series was produced to communicate the conservation work being done across Mexico's federally protected areas, and to connect audiences with the landscapes, species and communities behind that work. In 2022, Faros de Esperanza received the Premio Conservación for its contribution to environmental storytelling.
